Albertsons: $15 catalina promotion for Nov 5-Nov 11

Update: the word on these Albertsons deals is that your $30 amount has to be $30 worth of the ORIGINAL price of the products NOT the sale price or coupon price! I would make sure with your individual stores to make sure this is true! If this is true, this means get your total to $30 on the original price of the items and then use your coupons; the sale price and coupons will be taken off to get your out of pocket really low, like under $15 and then you will still get a $15 catalina. There will be alot of moneymakers!! My numbers in ( ) are actually higher than what you will actually be end up paying on your items!!!

I am really excited about this week at Albertsons. Albertson's is the closest store to me so I love finding good deals there because I don't have to travel hardly anywhere to do the work. This week Nov. 5 - Nov. 11 they are having an awesome General Mills/Unilever Promotion where if you spend $30 on participating items you will earn a $15 Catalina to use on your next purchase. Just this deal alone will be like getting everything in your cart for 50% off but there are a LOT of coupons that can be used on the participating items so you will be able to get many of the items for FREE or almost free this week!!

These are the BEST Deals I could find that fit within this promotion. I will list the price you will pay out of your own pocket and then an estimated price of how much they will end up costing you when taking the $15 catalina in to account (these will be in parenthesis). Thanks to Pinchingyourpennies for helping with some of these deals!

Thank you for all that "G-R-E-A-T" information. A store in my area "Shoppers Food Warehouse" has a similar deal with many of the same products. The sale here started last Thursday the 30th. and I have already been there 3 times and have $15.00 to spend on my next trip. However I have used up all my coupons and they do not take any internet coupons over .99 cents... bummer huh? However I was able to spend approx. 19.00 each trip AFTER coupons, and get 15.00 back...and shelves are pretty well stocked with the items they offered.

I love to shop this way :o)

so you ring up and your total is 31.00 so you get your 15.00 card for the next visit, then you use your coupons that is where your ( ) #'s are coming from?

Mandi said...

Thanks! This is a great list. Do you know if you have to spend $30 before or after coupons? Thanks!

Erin said...

Mandi: to answer your question I am pretty sure you have to have $30 worth of products BEFORE the coupons. So the register can "register" that you have gotten up to the $30 limit. Then you can use the coupons to get your out of pocket down and then still get the $15 Catalina. I hope this helps!

Royal Family: to answer your question, you will buy $30 worth of products and then use your coupons to get your out of pocket down and then get a $15 catalina for your next visit. My () numbers are the amount that it will look like you spent when you have spent your $15 catalina. Make sense. It is kindof like when you spend $3 out of pocket for something but you are going to be getting a $2 rebate so really you only spent $1 on the item. I hope this makes sense.

Do you know if you can roll the catalinas into doing another transaction of the same?

Erin said...

As far as I know from the forum I was reading on Pinchingyourpennies.com you can roll the catalina over and over.

Hope this helps.

I am not sure exactly where the DFW area is but for anyone wondering if this promotion is going on you could always call your Albertsons before you go to make sure they are participating. I do believe most Albertsons are participating.

If you have a Jewel near you they are participating as well since they are part of Albertsons.

I just wanted to let you know that at the shaws that just did this the $30.00 total came from the reg. (presale) price making this major free food and a money maker with coupons. Great coupons just came out at B.C. and Pillsbury that can be used for this sale. We were also able to do 2 offers at once. Meaning if I spent $60.00 presale price they gave me $30.00 in CATS. As an example I bought 14 cake mixes @ 1.00 each. The presale price was $2.19. So the 14 qualified for the $15.00 cats. So I made a dollar. That is without any coupons. Just try it first to make sure that it is working that way at Albertsons. Good Luck!

I can barely contain myself! these deals are awesome! It's been such a long time since we have seen such great sales. I can't wait to go shopping tomorrow!

oh my goodness, i have just started to use coupons and i am so happy i saw this post before going shopping. i saved 211. i was able to roll over my CAT into each transaction. and you have to hit $30 before coupons. i cannot believe what a good deal this is.

thank you for sharing!

Just wondering if Albertsons has these deals listed in their weekly flyer? I looked, and didn't see it on there. Is it a hidden deal???? I am starting to get worried, because I just spent the last 2 hours getting all my coupons together, and if it doesn't work....I'll go crazy

Emmyshell said...

I did this deal today, my total was $29.98 so the catalinas didn't print (the flyer states $29 or more of the select products) so the store manager sorted it out and they are mailing me the catalinas...
Anyway, after coupons I spent $20, will get $15 back and had a cart full of food.
There are some great printable coupons on the Betty Crocker and Pilsbury websites (even better than the recent newspaper coupons).

Has anyone tried this at Albertson's? My catalinas didn't print, and my Albertson's told me that it was because I needed $30 worth of products calculated on the SALE price, not the PRESALE price. Maybe they're running this deal differently from Shaw's?

Erin said...

I went yesterday to Albertsons and my store told me it had to be $30 worth of products AFTER your preferred savings card is ran. Some people have reported it has been BEFORE the presale price though. I would check with your individual Albertsons before making your purchases to make sure which of the two deals works.

I just tested the $30 in PRESALE prices at my Albertsons (Las Vegas) and it does NOT work. It has to be $30 of the SALE price down here.

Laura said...

My Albertson's (MT) did just confirm that it has to be SALE prices, not PRESALE. A woman from corporate called as well to follow up on my snafu yesterday, and she said the same thing. :-( That makes this deal a lot less exciting!

Laura C said...

Does anyone know if this is happening in Florida?

johnsonhut said...

I called my local Albertsons in Orlando and they had not even heard about the deal. Could this be a regional promotion?

Great info Thanks! Checked out Albertson's in Vegas and walked out with 77% savings. You can roll your catalinas but make sure they scan them otherwise it messes up your total if they hand key them in and you won't earn your next $15.

Hi there. Just wanted to say thanks so much for all of your work. I had a quick question. My totals for OOP after the coupon match-ups and catalina keep coming back different than yours and I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong. For example, the Better Crocker Cookie Pouches are 1.67 - .75 (coupon) making it .92 which is what you have. I then figure that by getting the 15.00 catalina that it would then take an additional 50% off which would eventually make my OOP .46. Where are you getting the .09 from? I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong and any help would be greatly appreciated. Again, thanks for your great list of deals and love your blog :)

Erin said...

Jaclynn: The way I figured out my numbers what I took an item like the Betty Crocker Cookie pouch and said okay it would take 18 of these cookie pouches to get my total up to $30 the if I had 18 $.75 off coupons that would take off $13.50 which would make it $16.50 then I took the $15 off (for the catalina) and my end price would be $1.50. Then I divided that $1.50 by 18 (because there were 18 pouches and my end price was $.09 each.

I hope this makes more sense to everyone. If my numbers are off a little bit I apologize.

Hope this helps.

Hi! I ran and did my sales today, I spend 28 something (I got a extra thing or two) I used 12.00 in coupons and my receipt shows grand total with the card and coupons I saved 35.00 WOW
Can I use these cats all in the same transaction when I go back?
THANKS for your help!
